Minority-Owned Business Program
As a local Minneapolis/St. Paul company, we are committed to helping local, minority-owned businesses survive and thrive.
What is the program?
Banker Creative has launched a brand new program to benefit minority-owned businesses in the Twin Cities area. The program provides free or discounted services for qualified applicants who need help with their website or messaging. Our goal is to support small businesses who may not have the resources to hire an agency and need a partner to help guide them in their marketing. We are strong believers in the power of small businesses supporting each other and we are committed to being a part of growing Minneapolis/St. Paul to be the best cities they can be.
Why are you doing it?
We also recognize that, although small, we are a homogenous team in a predominately white industry. Recognizing that reality, we are looking for ways not only to shift our own company and thinking, but also help our industry expand beyond what's been normal up until this point. We are looking for impact beyond show and tokenism; we are committed to the long process of putting in the hard work and moving the needle. We are inviting you to be a part of our progression towards change. This program is just one small way we are doing that, and we’ll continue to support our community with other efforts in the future.
How will it work?
This program will function on a project basis and will not include ongoing work unless a separate agreement is made. The projects will focus on creating websites for small businesses that may not have the resources for a new or redesigned website. Applicants should have been in business for at least two years and have references who can vouch for them from the community. Any minority-owned business can apply and will go through a review process, but only one project will be worked on at a time. Throughout the process, our goal will also be to include as much education as possible so that we leave each company empowered to manage their website and marketing on their own. Though we are always available to answer questions in the future, we hope you complete the work with us having learned something new.
