The Client
Y.Moskowitz CPA
Who are they
Offering services in tax prep, bookkeeping, payroll, and Fractional CFO, Y Moskowitz specializes in working with medical practices to keep their businesses operating at top capacity. Their goal is to free medical professionals from the slog of financial admin work so that they are free to do what's they are great at, and be more successful at the same time!
Words First
Words lead to more sales. That's why we spend the time needed to get to know you and your ideal clients.
Problem
Y. Moskowitz had a great niche in the CPA industry: accounting for physicians and practices. But building a website was not as easy as he had hoped. "Just before finding you guys, I flushed $7,000 down the toilet on a website redesign that I never even launched because it was so bad." Yoel needed someone who would spend the time and energy listening to him, but more importantly, discovering the struggles, fears, and needs of his clients.
Solution
One of the biggest hurdles for a site visitor to overcome is trust. We helped display Yoel's trustworthiness by emphasizing case studies, testimonials, and videos from real people he had worked with. Word of mouth marketing is still the most powerful way to convince someone that you are worth of their trust. And in the financial industry, trust is critical.
Top-Tier Design
Good design supports good messaging and increases brand authority.
Driving Design Concept:
At their core, Y. Moskowitz specializes in simplifying business financials for medical professionals. To support this notion, we designed the new site to be as streamlined as possible to easily convey the pertinent information to their clientele. Their pre-existing logo and color pallet set the foundation for a sophisticated and functional web design. We integrated the hexagonal shape of their logo throughout the sites in both images and custom infographics to create a cohesive design.

Our Building Process
01. Platform & Technology
We build our sites on WordPress using an intuitive and easy-to-manage page builder (Beaver Builder). We do this primarily because our clients want a website that is simple enough for them to manage on their own: add blog posts, swap out images, make copy changes.
02. Functionality
Most websites we make are what we call "Marketing Sites." They exist to guide a prospective client through the get-to-know-you phase and hand them off to your sales team. Marketing Sites are generally very simple and do not require much beyond a contact form and Active Campaign integration.
Y Moskowitz had three special features:
- We created a "Logo Splash" on their homepage to display their logo on a white screen which quickly faded to the standard homepage. It gives the site a very sharp, professional feel.
- Instead of a standard blog feed, we created three Case Studies. We opted to not use a Custom Post Type structure since each case study page would need to be customized uniquely.
- We did some minor audio editing for one of their testimonial videos.
Timeline
A standard website project takes between 11 and 16 weeks, depending on how responsive our clients are able to be when we need their input or feedback. Here are average timeframes:
Onboarding: 1 week
Messaging & Wireframes: 3 weeks
Design & Revisions: 3 weeks
Build: 3 weeks
Revisions: 4 weeks
Launch: 1 week
We had our kick-off call with Bee Clean on Jan 21st and launched their site on May 18th. That's just short of 17 weeks!
