Matt Banker

In addition to being a StoryBrand certified guide, Matt specializes in marketing strategy for accountants and CPAs. He is a marketing strategist and coach for multiple Accounting and CPA firms. His intimate knowledge of the accounting industry makes him the perfect strategist and messaging guide for companies like Corneliuson. He knows their ideal client and how to connect with them on a deep, empathetic level.

Problem

Many people expect accountants to be older and out-of-date, but Zoar is a modern, progressive company that wanted its website to reflect their firm's nature while still portraying their combined decades of experience. The needed messaging that connected deeply with their ideal client and set them apart from simple bookkeepers and number-crunchers.

Zoar's unique dynamic lies in their strategy and advisory services. From the very first heading, we made it clear that the firm exists for more than just tracking numbers in a spreadsheet: it exists to help you make informed and smart business decisions regarding your finances. We clearly communicate that Zoar works with two main demographics: Professional services and private health professionals. As you scroll the homepage, you gain a picture of moving from feeling overwhelmed by your finances to having mastery over your finances to a point where your numbers are an asset, not a liability.

Driving Design Concept:

Zoar Finance came to us with an existing color pallet and branding. We used these elements to create a calm, organic, and trustworthy user experience tailored to their professional clientele. Using the casual Houseslant font for headings and a palette of dark slate, sandy gold, and light blue-gray, we created a stable yet inviting look. The incorporation of watercolor textures and thin-lined icons adds elegance and modernity, while great photography of professionals ensures immediate audience connection. Rounded corners on CTAs and design elements soften the interface, making it welcoming and user-friendly, perfectly embodying Zoars's reliable and unique brand personality.

Our Building Process

01. Platform & Technology

We build our sites on WordPress using an intuitive and easy-to-manage page builder (Beaver Builder). We do this primarily because our clients want a website that is simple enough for them to manage on their own: add blog posts, swap out images, make copy changes.

02. Functionality

Zoar needed to incorporate their Hubspot CSM system with their website. We installed the Hubspot WordPress plugin and made sure to use Hubspot forms for all submissions, ensuring that all contacts were being properly added to their CSM.

Timeline

A standard website project takes between 11 and 16 weeks, depending on how responsive our clients are able to be when we need their input or feedback. Here are average timeframes:

Onboarding: 1 week

Messaging & Wireframes: 3 weeks

Design & Revisions: 3 weeks

Build: 3 weeks

Revisions: 4 weeks

Launch: 1 week

We started the Zoar website project on March 19th. Our target launch date was June 25th. We launched their site early on May 15th for a total of 8 weeks, one of our fastest turnarounds for a standard website.
