Valentine & Associates offers comprehensive Accounting and Advisory services throughout Texas with their four locations in Marble Falls, Round Rock, Lockhart, and Corpus Christi, TX.

Matt Banker

In addition to being a StoryBrand certified guide, Matt specializes in marketing strategy for accountants and CPAs. He is a fractional CMO for multiple Accounting and CPA firms. Valentine & Associates needed messaging that was crafted to tell the story of their clients, empathizing with their struggles and showing that they understand the problems being faced.

From their, we were able to present Valentine & Associates' 3-step plan that can get them there. Next we created a comprehensive Services page and Pricing page. People always want to know what it is going to cost, and it builds trust to be upfront with them about that.

Driving Design Concept:

Valentine & Associates provides personalized tax preparation for individuals and prides themselves on being caring, professional, and reliable. The abundance of photos on the website instantly helps build a connection with visitors and creates a sense of personalization in their tax services. We incorporated their brand color pallet of blue and red into a subtle gradient that is used as a background element in various sections throughout their site.

The choice of the serif font for headings adds a classic touch and conveys professionalism, while the sans serif font for body text is a nice modern contrast and ensures readability.

We've incorporated ample white space for a clean and organized layout, ensuring visitors can easily find what they need. Instead of a rigid grid, we've added overlapping elements to create depth and visual appeal without clutter. This user-friendly design caters to people from all backgrounds seeking tax expertise.

Our Building Process

01. Platform & Technology

We build our sites on WordPress using an intuitive and easy-to-manage page builder (Beaver Builder). We do this primarily because our clients want a website that is simple enough for them to manage on their own: add blog posts, swap out images, make copy changes.

02. Functionality

VA needed an easy way for current clients to find the links they need. We created a Client Center drop-down with everything they could ever need. They also wanted their Calendly Scheduler embedded directly on their website.

Timeline

A standard website project takes between 11 and 16 weeks, depending on how responsive our clients are able to be when we need their input or feedback. Here are average timeframes:

Onboarding: 1 week

Messaging & Wireframes: 3 weeks

Design & Revisions: 3 weeks

Build: 3 weeks

Revisions: 4 weeks

Launch: 1 week

We started the Valentine & Associates project on June 12th. Our target launch date was September 18th. Due to the complexity of tax season, our project went longer than we hoped and we launched the site on November 1st. This project took 20 weeks.
