Pantana CPA
The Client
Pantana CPA
Krista Pantana Dempsey is the founder and owner of Pantana CPA in Acworth, Geogia. Although they offer full service accounting, they are so much more than just bookkeepers. They are coaches and advisors for your business as much as they are number-crunchers. They offer Accounting, Payroll, Taxes, Compliance, and Advisory services to help your business grow.
Words First
Words lead to more sales. That's why we spend the time needed to get to know you and your ideal clients.
Meet Our Spearhead:
Matt Banker
In addition to being a StoryBrand certified guide, Matt specializes in marketing strategy for accountants and CPAs. He is a fractional CMO for multiple Accounting and CPA firms. His intimate knowledge of the financial industry makes him the perfect strategist and messaging guide for companies like Pantana. He knows their ideal client and how to connect with them on a deep, empathetic level.
Problem
Pantana CPA had a website that functioned, but it didn't connect with their ideal client. It was also in desperate need of a facelift. Most of their homepage talked about their services with very little messaging that would connect with their ideal client on an emotional level. In short, their website told Pantana CPA's story instead of their client's story. This is one of the most common things we see when redesigning a website. Your website doesn't exist to tell people about you. It exists to tell people about themselves and how your company can solve their problems.
Solution
Business owners often feel overwhelmed, like the world is in chaos and they are barely holding it together. When they are looking for an accountant or CPA, they are looking for someone who can help them feel in control again. We intentionally used language like, "Get your financials in line," and, "Get organized." This kind of language is speaking directly to the frustrations that most business owners feel on a gut level. Then, to drive it home, we dedicated a whole section to, "Do you feel stretched thin?" In that section we propose the solution to the problem, "We can fix that. Schedule a Call."
Top-Tier Design
Good design supports good messaging and increases brand authority.
Driving Design Concept:
Pantana CPA is a woman-owned accounting firm who needed an updated web presence. Their previous logo and branding was very playful and charming but didn't necessarily portray the professionalism they offered. Pantana CPA needed a website that would retain their friendly image but would also clearly represent their professional and reliable services. We wanted to take their current color scheme and logo and bring it up a notch to create a modern, higher-end branding experience geared toward business owners. First, we updated their logo using clean simplified shapes and a modern san serif font. We carried those curved lines from the logo throughout the website using rounded corners on images, buttons, and design elements. It was important to bring the faces of Pantana to the forefront to create that caring atmosphere of trust. In order to do this we avoided using any stock photography and opted to only use custom images of Pantana employees. The beautiful photos along with the minimal color scheme and white space established a clean and modern site that is very calming and easy to navigate.

Our Building Process
Timeline
A standard website project takes between 11 and 16 weeks, depending on how responsive our clients are able to be when we need their input or feedback. Here are average timeframes:
Onboarding: 1 week
Messaging & Wireframes: 3 weeks
Design & Revisions: 3 weeks
Build: 3 weeks
Revisions: 4 weeks
Launch: 1 week
We had our kick-off call with Pantana CPA on Dec 6th and launched the site on May 25th putting this project at roughly 24 weeks. We intentionally delayed the launch of their site until after tax season and had significant (but expected) delays due to the client's availability during that time.
